2017-2018 Little Trevian Academy

Welcome To Little Trevian Academy - The Fun Way To Master Soccer Skills

Little Trevian Academy is the fun, stress-free, entryway into the Trevian Soccer Club. Here at Little Trevian Academy, we provide a welcoming atmosphere that promotes player growth, lead by knowledgeable coaches at every session.

Players participate in skill-specific training sessions that ensures thousands of touches of the ball and encourages skillful, creative play. Youth soccer has proven benefits such as building confidence, developing social and motor skills, creating new friendships and keeping kids healthy and active.

Players will learn skills that prepare them in the best way possible for the next level of soccer. During the program, our players will learn to apply those skills to small-sided 3 v 3 matches.

New This Year: All Little Trevian Academy players born in 2011, will be guaranteed a spot on the 2018/2019 Trevian SC Club! Just come to tryouts in the Spring and we'll hold a spot for you to register for the team.

Little Trevian Academy Directors

Kyle Jones:  Little Trevian Academy Director,  Illinois Skill Schools Director

Kyle is the director of Illinois Skill Schools, Illinois' most effective skill-specific soccer training organization and has over 10 years of experience coaching young children. When he isn't on the field, he also teaches 4 - 7 year olds as PE Department Chair at North Shore Country Day School. Kyle also has a 6 year old daughter. Needless to say, he is no stranger to children.

Kyle believes strongly in getting young children on the field as soon as possible. It is so important for players to get a positive start to the game. Their first experience is make-or-break. 4 - 7 year olds are quick to make a decision on whether soccer is for them. We try to create the most positive, encouraging and productive environment as possible so we create a lifelong soccer player. Included in the curriculum are 7 key skills that are fundamental to skillful play.

Ann Beirne-Reger:  Little Trevian Academy Assistant Director

Coach Ann has been involved in coaching at almost every level of US youth soccer the last 25 years. Ann is an avid Manchester United and Villanova U. fan and can often be seen playing at Libertyville indoor leagues.

She finds joy in the possibility of creating a lifelong passion for soccer with our young players. Young players provide a level of enthusiasm that inspires her.
